Happy New Year to all! Several fire apparatus have been delivered to fire agencies along California's Central Coast over the past few months. In Ventura County, the Oxnard Fire department took delivery of two Pierce Arrow XT 100 Foot Tillers. The first is assigned to Station 61 and the second is assigned to Truck 68 which is temporarily assigned to Station 67 while new Station 68 is constructed. Also in Ventura County, the Fillmore Fire Department received a 2014 Pierce Saber Pumper. It features a Hale QFLO-125 1250 GPM pump, 500 gallon water tank, and a Foam Pro 1600 foam system. The Ventura County Fire Department took delivery of a 2014 International rescue truck assigned to Rescue 23 in Oak View. Rescue 23 is the second piece to Medic Rescue Engine 23, and it carries an assortment of extrication tools and other rescue equipment. The Carpenteria-Summerland Fire Protection District, located in southern Santa Barbara County, received a 2014 Pierce Arrow XT PUC pumper with a 1500 gpm PUC pump, 650 gallon tank, and 20 gallon foam tank. To the north , the Montecito Fire Protection District took delivery of a Pierce Freightliner 4x4 Type 3 engine with a Darley 500 GPM pump and Hercules CAFS system. Also delivered were a Pierce Type 6 engine and a Ford F-550 Paramedic Squad built by Rosenbauer. That's all for this post. Enjoy the weekend,
